Withdrawal ceremony of the 68th period of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Alternative Real Work Lecture (KKN) was held by the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) UAD by online, on Thursday (24/12/2020).

The ceremony was attended by invited guests; Head of Yogyakarta City Gondokusuman Sub-district, Guritno AP, Regional Leaders of Muhammadiyah (PDM) Yogyakarta City, Dr. H. Nur Ahmad Ghojali MA, Head of LPPM UAD Anton Yudhana Ph.D., Head of PkM and KKN Division Beni Suhendra Winarso SE, M.Si, Head of Klitren, Baciro and Demangan village, Amar Ma’ruf from the Muhammadiyah Branch Management (PCM) Gondokusuman also RW and the Field Advisory Lecturers (DPL).

Beni Suhendra WInarso, M.Si., stated that this withdrawal ceremony was carried out online because it was still in the period of Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony was started by one of the students, Muhammad Tarmidzi which declare a report of the superior program that have been carried out by each unit of KKN/RW. “There are 36 superior programs out of 36 KKN units covering community empowerment programs in the form of food security, education, and health,” Said Beni Suhendra.

On the occasion of this withdrawal, Anton Yudhana, Ph.D., as the head of LPPM UAD officially withdrew students from the KKN location and conveyed that, with all the physical limitations due to the pandemic period, the students could still realize the programs related to education, food security, and health. It is hoped that this can be a starting point for the future program development. Anton Yudhana added that the program for the Gondokusuman community will not only be carried out by students, but can be followed up by lecturers in the research, service, and technology implementation schemes.

In the next session, Guritno AP, as the Head of Gondokusuman sub-district gave a response and advised the students to always be a useful person by making a real contribution to the society.

The same thing was also stated by Dr. H. Nur Ahmad Ghojali as the Deputy of PDM Yogyakarta city underlined that the implementation of KKN is a learning program for students to do the real practice. “Campus is not only an ivory tower which is far from reality, but also reality literate by making a real contribution to society,” Said Dr. H. Nur Ahmad Ghojali.

Beni Suhendra Winarso added, KKN UAD this period was different from the previous one, with the theme “KKN New Reality”, UAD still sent students to contribute to building society even though it was an online pattern. (Jay)
