LPPM UAD and Gunung Kidul Regional Government Talkshow
The corona pandemic has an impact on the decrease of Gunungkidul’s economic growth to minus 0,68%. To rise up, it requires cross-sectoral joint synergies starting from the academics in the Universities, Governments Regencies, and the Banking sector.
Sri Suhartanto as the head of Gunungkidul Regional Development and Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) stated that corona pandemic caused a bad effect on economic growth in Bumi Handayani. However, after one year of the pandemic, there is a gradual recovery as the new normal era begins in June 2020.
“The economy has grown by minus 0,68% last year. But now, there are improvements and hopefully it can grow positively.” Said Sri Suhartanto in Jogja Daily Talkshow entitled ‘Kampus Membawa Gunungkidul Lebih Berdaya’ at Simbok food stall in Bandung village, Playen, on Tuesday (6/4/2021).
In his opinion, that economic recovery effort cannot be held by the government, but also needs the support from any private sectors and campus academics. “The concept is pentahilik, which is development program that involves government, community, media partner’s role, entrepreneurs, and any parties from higher education institutions,” said Sri Suhartanto in a collaboration between Jogja Daily, Gunungkidul Regency Government and Warung Simbok.
Sri Suhartanto also stated that this sinergy was very needed so that economic recovery and acceleration can be optimized. She said that “the condition will be different if we do it individually, thus the results will not be optimal”.
The head of the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Anton Yudhana also expressed similar things. In his opinion, UAD is committing to help the recovery and economic improvement for the development programme in Gunungkidul.
